Lena Bilets research titled : Causes and consequences of lipid overload in skeletal muscle, liver and heart unravels and gets more into depth about the underlying mechanism causing insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. She also investigates how and why fat stores in these three peripheral tissues and what the consequences are… Simulating the skeletal muscle, liver and heart by using ordinary candle wax gives a striking visual experience.
